Ku'ula Kai Pendant (Large)

In this manifestation as Kū'ula he is appealed to by fisherman for a good catch. The first fish of the catch was laid on the ko'a where Kū'ula was represented by an upright pōhaku (stone). The spine of the wana and hā'uke'uke is a physical manifestation of Kū. This design represents abundance, the ability to provide, strength, skill and knowledge.
